How does the VendingIT system do this?
The operator's management website gives operators the ability to view the sales, inventory and cash information relating to each of their vending machines. Importantly it enables operators to closely monitor machine diagnostic information such as internal operating temperatures, door open and close logs, and logs of when the machines have been refilled with cash or product. This data can be viewed on webpages or downloaded as Excel spreadsheets for incorporation into their accounting package.

The technology makes intelligent use of SMS text messaging and email to keep operators informed of machine status. The vending machine itself will directly send an SMS message to the route operator as soon as the vending machine runs out of stock or if there are any other problems with the vending machine. It will also generate an email or fax of the event that can be sent immediately to vending machine management. This allows service staff to quickly spot problems while ensuring management can track that problems have been spotted and rectified.

The VendingIT system monitors the sales of products during each day and presents it in a manner that allows you to measure the profitability of each machine. It easily enables you to identify products that are not selling well on a per machine basis thus giving you the option of maximising each machine's profitability by tuning the product mix to fit the location.
